One of the things that Pangako Sa’Yo (2000) brought into Philippine soap opera is the acceptance of protagonist-and-antagonist-in-one. Examples for that would be Amor Powers (Eula Valdez) and Claudia Buenavista (Jean Garcia). These characters created as much buzz as Yna‘s (Kristine Hermosa) and Angelo‘s (Jericho Rosales). They became fashion icons and their parts in the show have been spoofed so many times.
After 15 years, these characters will be brought to life by talented actresses Angelica Panganiban and Jodi Sta. Maria. Will they create the same buzz as before? We’ll find out in less than 2 weeks! 🙂
