Seasoned Kapamilya actor and Star Magic artist Gerald Anderson, with nearly two decades of experience, has portrayed a diverse array of characters throughout his career. Notable among these are his portrayal of a soldier in “Tayong Dalawa” and a neurodivergent individual in “Budoy.” Recently, he has expanded his horizons by venturing into directing.

Prior to the exciting Instagram update from JRB Creative Production, we had the opportunity to connect with Gerald on the set of Sins of the Father in Quezon City last week, where we also observed him in his new role behind the camera for the very first time.
After gaining a wealth of acting credits since debuting in 2006 as a contestant on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, Gerald is now embracing a new challenge as a director for the ABS-CBN’s gripping crime-thriller series he is top-billing.

The show’s producer, JRB Creative Production, announced the news on social media on August 12, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the pre-production meetings, with a caption that read, “Pre-prod before the big day! 🎬 Gerald Anderson steps into the director’s chair for ‘Sins of the Father.'”

Gerald’s last acting role before this directorial venture was in the 2022 primetime series “A Family Affair,” where he starred opposite Sam Milby and Ivana Alawi. With his 20th anniversary in showbiz approaching next year, Gerald continues to evolve and take on new creative pursuits.
