Despite being only 24 years old, singer-songwriter Jenzen Guino has long since carved out a space for himself in the creative world and set high standards in his craft. Hailing from Taguig City, he is now preparing to embark on a new chapter in his musical journey with his release “Rosas.”
While the release of “Rosas” marks progress in Guino’s career, it is not his first foray into the music scene. He first gained recognition unexpectedly when online audiences connected with his heartfelt cover videos that he posted on Facebook and YouTube, which quickly caught the attention of the local Philippine music community.
Coming from a family passionate about singing and music, Jenzen was inspired early on to create his own music. Over time, he developed a personal style characterized by original melodies and deeply individual songs that reflect his unique sound and flavor.
Guino’s musical style is a blend of powerful pop choruses, soulful lyrics, and the lively rhythm of R&B. His goal has always been to craft a distinctive sound rooted in his personal experiences—his journey of learning, loving, living through different phases, and overcoming various triumphs and challenges, which he describes as “love letters and late-night conversations.”
This authenticity and emotional depth in his lyricism and artistry have translated into tangible success. He has amassed over 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and his 2022 single “Hangganan” has surpassed 2.3 million streams on Spotify. Additionally, his follow-up song “Dito Lang Ako,” from the same year, has exceeded 1.5 million streams on Spotify and gathered 3.8 million views on YouTube.
When asked about the essence of his music, Guino states, “They’re not just songs — it’s me. I’m not always outspoken, but I speak the loudest with every lyric and melody I create.”
On May 16, Jenzen thrilled his listeners with the release of “Rosas,” a heartfelt story of unrequited love—resilient, consistent, and filled with both joy and pain.
Released under EMI Records Philippines, “Rosas” is produced and engineered by acclaimed producer Gab Tagadtad, who masterfully captures both its sonic beauty and emotional intensity.
Fans can look forward to a series of live performances as Guino plans to tour various coffee shops across multiple cities, bringing his music and message directly to listeners who seek a genuine musical experience.
“I want people to hear my music and feel the kind of love that words alone can’t express,” Jenzen explains about his upcoming adventure. “I want this to be the soundtrack for anyone giving or receiving love.”
