Since his days on GMA Network’s reality talent search Starstruck, Aljur Abrenica has been a familiar face in the local entertainment scene. He has built a career that has kept him in the public eye for years. The whole country saw him grow as an actor and an individual, privy to his ups and downs in career and even personal life. Recently, the FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star has captured attention online not just as an actor, but also as a musical talent.

Aljur has been sharing acoustic covers of popular songs on social media, showcasing a more personal and relaxed side of himself. His latest videos feature renditions of hits by Maroon 5, Firehouse, and Bamboo. In these clips, he performs with an acoustic guitarist.

The videos quickly gained traction across social platforms, prompting a range of reactions from netizens. Some viewers found amusement in his performances, while others left lighthearted comments and playful edits. As expected, the videos went viral. During an intimate media launch where Aljur was introduced as the new brand ambassador for Luxus Estetica Furniture, he was asked about the online responses to his singing clips.

Instead of getting negatively affected by comments, Aljur responded with a good-natured sense of humor, embracing the attention. “Natatawa ako sa mga comment ng mga tao,” he shared during the media conference. “’Pag lumipas panahon, makakakanta pa ba ako? Kahit sintunado, kahit sino naman, pwede kumanta,” he added, highlighting his love for music and his relaxed attitude. He added, “I really love music. It is very personal for me. Singing your heart out, iyon ‘yung pang-pa-kalma ko.”

Aljur also expressed hope that his children would someday see how music has been a part of his journey. “Iniisip ko nga, baka makita nila, alam nila kumakanta rin ako,” he said, hinting at how music remains a meaningful part of his life. Moving forward, Aljur is excited to produce more music, especially now that he is renovating his music room with furniture from Luxus Estetica. He smilingly shared, “Ang ganda ng bounce back ng sound dito sa narra wood. Maganda sa acoustics. So abangan ninyo sa music ko.” He added a personal touch, saying, “May spot tayo sa bahay na favorite. Isa ‘yung music room. It gives you the feeling of peace. The furniture, specifically it gives you that flow.”

Luxus Estetica Furniture is known for its handcrafted luxury pieces crafted from top-quality, locally sourced woods like narra, mahogany, and acacia. The brand emphasizes durability and timeless design, aiming to create furniture that lasts generations. Co-owner Pauline Publico shared, “Aside from the uniqueness of design, napakatibay niya, aabot ng generations talaga.”

The co-owner, April Martin, added that there is a running joke, “…Decades and years uurong, pero woods ‘di uurong.” She talked about the resilience of their materials. The company has ambitious plans to expand, aiming to open about 25 warehouses and showrooms by 2026.
