In a reel posted on his official Instagram account, Quezon City councilor Alfred Vargas made a number of women smile (Some got giddy!) at the University of the Philippines-Diliman when he randomly gave roses on Valentine’s Day. Based on his caption, the actor-turned-politician was enrolling in a master’s program on urban planning at the state university that day. UP Diliman’s School of Urban and Regional Planning or UP SURP is the only graduate school in the country offering the program.
Vargas, who served as a Quezon City congressman for years, earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University and master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
