Along Scout Rallos, ABV & Co. presents itself as a hidden retreat for those who prefer evenings that are unhurried and meaningful. Instead of loud crowds and rushed conversations, the speakeasy invites guests to slow down and enjoy the company they came with.
Since opening on November 4, the concept has been clear — thoughtful drinks, well-executed food, and an atmosphere that prioritizes quality over hype. The menu features a wide range of specialty cocktails paired with elevated comfort dishes, creating a space that feels polished yet welcoming, ideal for those who want a refined night out without the stiffness that sometimes comes with it.
Its intimate scale is part of its charm. With seating for roughly 40 guests, the room naturally encourages conversation and connection. For those who prefer a more secluded experience, a private section is also available for exclusive gatherings or special occasions.
For February, ABV & Co. is marking the season with a six-course Valentine’s Tasting Menu offered throughout the month. Designed by Executive Chef Erick Toyama, the menu reflects the kitchen’s signature style—bold yet balanced flavors presented through a thoughtfully sequenced dining journey. The idea, Toyama explains, is to tell a romantic story through food, blending Asian and Western influences into a progression meant to be enjoyed slowly.
The meal opens on a comforting note with Bread & Butter, featuring a soft roll paired with honey and aonori-infused butter, followed by a warm serving of Prawn Bisque. The appetizer course highlights three house favorites: the Spicy Miso Wing, the rich and satisfying Wagyu Sando, and the flavorful OG Salpicao—each offering a different layer of indulgence.
A palate cleanser called Enchanted arrives midway, combining lemon, chamomile, and blue ternate tea for a light and refreshing reset. From there, the experience moves into its heartier courses: Crab & Shrimp Dan-Dan Noodles and Char Siu Fried Rice, both substantial and deeply satisfying while maintaining a refined touch.
The evening concludes with a playful dessert, Matcha Tiramisu Pani-Puri, a creative finish that balances sweetness with texture and surprise. Each tasting menu also comes with a choice of one signature cocktail from the bar or a glass of wine to round out the experience.
At ₱1,999 per person, the Valentine’s Tasting Menu strikes a thoughtful middle ground—premium enough to feel special, yet accessible enough for those who want a celebratory night without going over budget.
