Rising stars Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, known for their beloved partnership as the RabGel love team, are ready to steal hearts once again with VIVA Film’s highly anticipated first release of 2026, A Werewolf Boy. The exciting project was recently unveiled during a grand media conference where the cast and crew, including comedic talent Candy Pangilinan and director Crisanto B. Aquino, posed for photos, building excitement for the film’s launch.

This new adaptation draws inspiration from the acclaimed 2012 South Korean fantasy romance of the same name, which featured the talents of Song Jong Ki and Park Bo Young. In the Philippine rendition, Angeles and Muji take center stage, portraying the characters Boy and Sara.

Under the direction of Crisanto B. Aquino, the narrative unfolds with Sara discovering a wild boy living in her family’s yard. Initially hesitant, Sara’s compassion leads her family to take him in. As she helps Boy learn the ways of human behavior, an enchanting bond forms, with Boy soon becoming her devoted protector.

However, their idyllic relationship faces challenges as men led by Albie Casiño’s character launch a hunt for Boy after witnessing his startling transformation into a werewolf.

The film showcases the talents of veteran actress Lorna Tolentino, alongside a talented ensemble cast that includes Yayo Aguila, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Rose Van Ginkel, Annika Co, Simon Ibarra, and many more, promising a rich cinematic experience.
‘A Werewolf Boy’ is slated for release across cinemas nationwide on January 14, 2026.
