The Boys Love (BL) series The Day I Loved You Two arrives like a tidal shift — familiar currents from season one meeting a deeper, wider sea. Where the first season lingered on the awkwardness of first love, the sophomore run drops its characters into college life — bigger spaces, sharper stakes, and feelings that refuse to stay small. The vibe has shifted from sweet high-school prom dates to steamier college pool days, where the heat is almost literal and the stakes are emotional as well as competitive.

Director Easy Ferrer, who steered the project from concept to set, summed it up, “This time bigger world kasi university na — mas mature na yung mga characters.” If season one was nostalgia in a classroom, season two is nostalgia with an expanded map. Ferrer even teased us about the wardrobe. He told viewers to expect a lot of scenes with swimming trunks more than school uniforms across the run, a wink that signals the series’ new, bolder tone.

That expansion extends beyond setting. Ferrer was deliberate about the cast mix — returning favorites, rising stars, and new faces who bring distinct energy. He described the dynamic visually and practically, “They complement each other. When you look at them onscreen, ang dami mong nakikitang maganda.” It’s not lip service. In the mediacon alone, you can feel how strong the chemistry is between the two male leads, Raynold Tan and new co-lead Raven Rigor, whose pairing promises a sequel that’s deeper and decidedly thirstier.

Raynold Tan returns as Eli, a character softened by experience yet still stubbornly human. “Like in Season 1, Eli is a bit cheeky but of course, you’ll see a more emotional version of him,” Raynold said, adding how welcomed he feels by Filipino audiences and his hope for more projects here. If Eli represents steadiness and recovery, Raven’s Rev brings spark and uncertainty. “I play the character of Rev po, I’m a new character in the series. Super happy ako na natuloy din,” Raven shared, noting that even after meeting only days before production they’d already been chatting online — an off-screen shorthand that translates into on-screen ease. Given the storyline, Raven voiced one of the show’s central messages plainly, “Second chances do exist.”

The drama moves into the competitive world of the college varsity swimming team, where the cast’s energy is matched by a larger ensemble that includes Jake Lawrence, Angelica Lao, Kaleb Ong, Jazzil Sarinas, and Gabo Barretto. Ferrer emphasized contrast as intentional — laugh-out-loud moments peppered with pulses of authentic ache — while the creative team widened representation and perspective so the show’s emotional scope includes everyone, regardless of background or orientation.

Distribution-wise, there’s good news for fans: The Day I Loved You: Two will premiere exclusively on Beetzee Play, the Philippines’ first Piso Serye platform, where mobile-optimized, vertical episodes can be watched for just one peso each. Filming is in the works, and for anyone feeling nostalgic, the prequel season is currently available on Beetzee Play for binge-watching.

For returning viewers, season two provides reunion comfort but also asks a tougher question: how do you choose again when you have reasons to be afraid? For new viewers, it presents a polished gateway into a world where youthful mistakes matter and growth is messy but real. Raynold, Raven, and Ferrer together frame the season as an invitation — to feel, to remember, and to dare. Don’t miss The Day I Loved You: Two, diving soon exclusively on Beetzee Play.
