GMA’s latest P-pop group, Cloud 7, is making waves with their fresh sound and energetic performances. The young group recently launched their new single “Bara Bara” and shared the exciting projects they have lined up in the near future.
Meet Cloud 7
Cloud 7 debuted in March 2023 and quickly gained attention for their talent and charisma. The group consists of seven boys: Lukas, Johann, Kairo, Egypt, Migz, PJ, and Fian. They impress audiences not only with their singing and dancing skills but also with their charming presence.
About “Bara Bara”
Their newest song, “Bara Bara,” is set to be released this May. Lukas explains, “It’s actually about being proud of something you’re good at showing off your skills that something you’re good at kasi siyempre kapag napakagaling mo sa isang bagay, ibig sabihin hindi mo ito binara bara. So katulad namin gusto namin sabihin sa mga tao or sa mga rainbows na nanononod na dapat yung mga tinatago niyong kagaligan or yung mga skills niyo dapat hindi niyo tinatago dapat nilalabas niyo.” The song encourages fans to be proud of their talents and not hide what they’re good at.
Why the Name Cloud 7?
Kairo shares the story behind their group’s name. “It was inspired from Cloud 9, pag sinasabi po yun its about happiness, ineenjoy lang po, very uplifting, very light lang and yun po yung gusto naming maramdaman ng mga nanonood samin at nakakakita po samin na magperform.” Since there are seven members, they chose “Cloud 7,” and they often refer to their fans as “rainbow.”
What’s Next for Cloud 7?
Aside from their new single, Cloud 7 is also excited about their upcoming online series titled “Up, Up, and Away,” scheduled to be released in June. This series will give fans a chance to see another side of the boys and learn more about their lives beyond the stage.
Proud and Happy at a Young Age
Despite being the youngest group in the P-pop industry, the members are proud of what they’ve achieved. PJ shares, “At a very young age, nagkaroon po kami ng moment para mashowcase po yung talents namin.” They’re grateful for the opportunities to share their passion and grow as artists.
